Abstract
Core samples collected from the lunar regolith have been almost entirely incoherent and loose in consistence. Most have been transported to earth with original features of stratigraphy intact, and disturbance by the sampling process generally has been minimal. To preserve the stratigraphy recorded in these samples, cores have been partially impregnated with polybutyl methacrylate.
