Abstract

Focused on the following objectives: sharing what has been learned from the Phoenix mission; discussing the impact of ongoing and planned investigations such as MSL; attempting to understand the broader implications of the findings in areas such as Mars' aqueous history, geology, biology, and climate; pointing to needed experiments in the laboratory and on Mars; considering recommendations that may be submitted as input to the Decadal Survey in the form of a community white paper.
