Report on the lunar ranging at McDonald Observatory for the period February 19, 1974 to June 19, 1974

Abstract

The four lunations between 19 February and 19 June, 1974 produced a lower number of lunar range measurements than is usual for this period of time. A laser modification conducted in early February was not completely successful and resulted in a considerable loss of data. Nonetheless, the operations for the period produced at least 83 lunar range measurements, including seven on the French-Soviet reflector in the crater Le Monnier.
