Abstract

This specification establishes the requirements for the performance, design, test, and qualification of the data processor, a component of the central station data subsystem (see Specification AL 210100) for the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiment Package (ALSEP), Array E. This component is a data handling system that collects both digital and analog data from the experiments and other central station components, formats this data into a serial bit-stream, which is then encoded and fed to the downlink transmitter.
