Abstract
The Suprathermal Ion Gauge Experiment and the "Cold Cathode Ion Gauge" (SIDE/CCIG) together constitute one "Apollo Lunar Surface Experiment Package" (ALSEP) experiment. This experiment was first deployed on the Lunar surface with the Apollo 12 ALSEP. It experienced difficulties, one explanation of which was the presence of corona in its high voltage circuits. A thermal vacuum test was run at MSC in Chamber "D" to investigate these difficulties. The Boeing Company was requested to provide consultation on corona aspects of the problem throughout the test. This is the final report on that activity."--
