dc.description.abstract | The upper part of Hole M0077A, the Open Hole interval, was drilled without coring to maximize the potential to reach the target drilling depth. A rotary drill was used for open-hole drilling from the seabed to 505.7 m drilling depth below seafloor (DSF). Attempts to recover drilling chips from this open-hole section were largely unsuccessful due to loss of drilling fluid into the formation. However, some lithologic and biostratigraphic data were recovered and will be used to support the geological interpretation of the wireline logging data. | en |
